This show has quickly become a staple in officially starting off the festivities in the annual MCF, so much that it’s now a monthly show at Lakefront Brewery for more than 2 years! Join us for some laughs and delicious Lakefront beer at this stand up showcase featuring comics from across the country! Jake Snell (Host)
Stand Up, Madison
Jake Snell is a comedian from Madison, Wisconsin. Since taking the stage in late 2014, he has become a Madison favorite, producing packed-out independent shows and opening for headliners at Comedy on State including Jackie Kashian, Ian Edwards, Shane Torres, and over 30 other amazing touring acts. Jake has performed standup in comedy hubs across the country, and he also accompanies comedy shows with his unique one-man-band form of music and comedy improvisation, which sounds terrible but is actually pretty cool. He has a DIY approach to comedy that has served himself and the Madison scene well, and he recently produced the inaugural Madison Comedy Week festival, which featured sold-out crowds and over 80 regional and national comedy acts. Look out for him over the next few years, he’s bound to do something significant at some point.

John McCombs
Stand Up, Chicago
John McCombs has been performing comedy all across the United States and Europe for 8 years. His comedy points out the absurdity of societal norms and he exposes the ridiculousness of everyday situations. He draws on his experiences as a former officer in the U.S. military and his upbringing in a tough school where you either had to be funny or strong to make it through. He has opened for Tim Meadows, Michelle Wolf, Sam Morril and performed shows in 9 different countries

Amanda Averell
Stand Up, Pittsburgh
Amanda Averell is a comedian from Pittsburgh, PA and performs at theaters, clubs, and bars across the city. She’s performed at the Pittsburgh Comedy Festival, Burning Bridges Comedy Festival, and Second Best Fest and has opened for Von DeCarlo, Brandie Posey and Shane Torres.

Pranav Behari (Headliner)
Stand Up, New York City
A former writer for MAD Magazine, Pranav performs throughout North America lighting up stages with edgy, intelligent humor that traverses politics, sex, relationships, and spirituality. Transcendent AF, yo.
