Milwaukee Comedy Festival Announces Extra Laughs!
Pre and Post Shows include Live Podcast and city wide Comedy and Music
MILWAUKEE, WIS. – The Milwaukee Comedy Festival is excited to announce numerous Special Events to the 2015 line-up: Extra Laughs: Pre- and Post-Show Series which will feature four shows in four days at various locations throughout Milwaukee including Bay View, Riverwest, Walkers Point and Downtown Milwaukee.
Additionally MCF will present a live recording of the Whormones Podcast by former adult film star Alia Janine and comedian Jaqi Furbank on Saturday, August 8th at 4pm at Next Act Theatre. The Whormones podcast is an anti-feminist feminist podcast where two completely different points of view of sexuality, feminism, and life are discussed.
The Extra Laughs Pre and Post Party Shows will feature comedy and music by performers from all over the Midwest. The Festival, which is celebrating “Ten Years of Funny” this year, will showcase talent from the comedy, as well as the music scene. This is being done in partnership with online entertainment publication Milwaukee Record. Extra Laughs shows are free with paid festival admission or $5.

The festival, which is Wisconsin’s largest comedy event, will take place Aug. 6-9, 2015, featuring a lineup including professional stand up, improvisation and sketch comedy performers from across the U.S. And Canada and will take place at Next Act Theatre and for the first time at the Historic Turner Hall. This year’s final night will feature Brian Posehn (The Comedians of Comedy and Fantastic Four) as the festival headliner on Sunday August 9.
“We are a community of artists and I believe the only way to thrive is support one another,” said Matt Kemple, festival founder and producer. “We want to see the people come out and experience the amazing talent Milwaukee has to offer.”
An official Kick Off Event, at Lakefront Brewery will offer an additional day of laughs onWednesday, August 5, 2015, and feature some of Milwaukee’s top comedic talent.
