About the Milwaukee Comedy Festival:

In 2005 the Milwaukee Comedy Festival was originally born as the Sketch and Improv Festival.  The vision was to grow and support the comedy scene in Milwaukee through live performances. Once stand up comedy was added to the line-up in 2007, the name changed and the Milwaukee Comedy Festival (MCF) quickly became Wisconsin’s premier annual comedy event. This event aspires to be an inviting environment providing professional stage time to seasoned and up-and-coming performers in front of an eager and engaged audience.

Over the years tens of thousands have laughed with the Milwaukee Comedy Festival. Audiences have traveled from all parts of Wisconsin to attend the fest and as far away as Los Angeles and Massachusetts for the biggest comedy event of the year.

Since it began in 2005 the festival has featured 1000’s of performers from across the country including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle, Philadelphia, Denver and Austin as well as Canada including Toronto, Alberta and Vancouver. Our alumni have appeared in movies and television including SNL, Comedy Central, HBO, BET, Conan, Late Nite and many more.
